Inman Park is an older Victorian village, approximately two miles east of downtown Atlanta. Once home to many prominent citizens in the late 1800′s, the city steadily declined until Atlantans decided to refurbish the area in the 1970′s. Since then, Inman Park’s real estate has experienced a renaissance, improving and preserving much of its original Italianate and Craftsman-style homes.

Inman Park’s properties include a plethora of urban condominiums, uptown lofts, and apartments with old-world character and charm. A major part of the Civil War was fought in the area of Inman Park. Much of the history and artifacts are still available to visitors and residents today. The July 22, 1864, Battle of Atlanta was fought at the site now known as Springvale Park. While the northern quadrant of the park has seen many renovations over the years, you might find the southern portion close to the same condition as it was in the late 1800′s

The resurrection of Inman Park’s properties has brought an eclectic mix of designs and restorations. The community has developed an active neighborhood association and enjoys quaint small town gatherings like book and garden clubs. It’s close proximity to downtown Atlanta has made Inman Park desirable to those who work downtown, but do not wish to spend their day in traffic. Condo owners in Inman Park enjoy Little Five Points shopping corners, Underground Atlanta, Coca-Cola museum, and easy access to MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) public transportation system, and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Ultimately, given Atlanta’s steady real estate market and rapid increase in land values, many investors are taking a second look at Inman Park for its potential and terrific location.
