Vacation rental condos on Marco Island have been popular for years and will remain so, due to the beautiful waters surrounding this island. Located south of Naples in the Gulf of Mexico, Marco is the last resort area on the southwest Florida coast before the Keys. Its waters – much clearer and prettier than even those in the Fort Myers area 60 miles north – make the vacation rental condos on Marco Island prized possessions.
Marco Island condos are all on or near the beach. This small island is big enough to support several businesses, and residents use cars to get about, but the sea is never more than a short distance from any condo. Many Marco Island rental condos are on canals, and come with dockage.- Thus boaters also gravitate toward Marco Island condos.
Marco Island’s “city” is Naples, so while condo owners can purchase groceries and necessities on the island, many run to “town” (Naples) for shopping.- Naples offers a wide variety of stores and all services. Marco Island condo owners do have access to a full range of amenities, however, either on-site or nearby, as the Marco Island community includes gyms, churches, restaurants, hardware, condo repairmen – most things a condo owner would normally need.
Vacation condo renters on Marco Island focus more on the beach, of course, and all it offers: watersports, fishing, tanning, swimming, boating and nightly sunsets. Marco Island condos facing west are surely the most prized of all, as watching sunset is an island tradition.
Marco Island’s unique location also gives condo residents easy access to Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports – just across the state on I-75 – as well as Regional Southwest in Fort Myers and the small Naples airport. Many condo owners in Marco Island reside in their units during the winter months, arriving by car from northern homes. The best reason to own a Marco Island condo might well be the winter temperatures, which are in the 70s during the day and 60s at night.
