New York Amenities Make Life Convenient and Grand

Cielo

Art plays a major role in the amenities package for Cielio, a luxury condo located in the heart of the family-friendly residential Upper East Side neighborhood of Yorkville. Cielo’s one-of-a-kind tribute to the arts includes the first Art Concierge with the city’s latest exhibition and event information; a complimentary one-year membership to the Whitney Museum of American Art for residents; artwork of local elementary school students adorning the walls in the children’s playroom; commissioned paintings by encaustic artist Betsy Eby in the Cielo lobby; and the creation of the tromp l’oeil mural by famous artist Richard Haas across the street from the lobby entrance. “New York can be a very hostile environment,” says Jules Demchick, developer of Cielo, “and our lobby is a sanctuary of sorts.” Demchick, wife Barbara Ness, and their children are huge proponents of the arts and he is passionate about bringing this life enhancing amenity to his patrons. Morton Square is another Demchick building and home to the Olson Twins and Mike Myers. Here, Demchick commissioned glass sculptor Tom Patti to beautify the structure, again demonstrating a commitment to art and splendor.

One York Street

One York Street is a block-long pre-Civil War building in Tribeca that’s being gutted and redesigned for modern luxury condo living with the help of a spectacular 14-story glass tower that will serve as the development’s center core. “One York Street preserves history while implementing the modern architecture of our time. We were able to retain the best of 19th century architecture, while adding some of today’s finest details, finishes and amenities,” says developer Stanley Perelman, noting the building’s unprecedented array of luxuries and amenities, from a personal outdoor lap pool in one of the penthouse residences to an indoor automated parking garage – one of only two in Manhattan.

1600 Broadway on the Square

1600 Broadway on the Square is a 27-story residential and retail complex on the east side of Broadway, between West 48th and West 49th Streets. “This is the first opportunity in history for someone other than large companies to actually own a piece of Times Square in a luxury high-rise development at an attractive end price,” says Jeffery Katz, CEO of Sherwood Equities. 1600 Broadway on the Square contains a host of premium amenities, including:

- Club on the Square, a state-of-the-art fitness center;

- entertainment lounge with plasma television, bar and billiards;

- virtual golf amenity with sitting room;

- vending services and fully equipped business center;

- landscaped terrace on the fourth floor with trees, a putting green and rolling lawns;

- rooftop observatory with furniture to enjoy the city views.
